BNP Foreign Affairs Secretary Shama Obaid said, “The fighters of July took to the streets not for quota demands, but to end 17 years of enforced disappearances, murders, terrorism, torture, and autocratic rule.”She said this as the chief guest at a public rally following a July victory rally organized by the Upazila BNP at the field of Shaheed Akramunnesa Girls High School ground in Faridpur’s Nagarkanda upazila on Wednesday (August 5) evening.She said, “This victory does not belong to any individual or party, it is the victory of the country’s 18 crore people.” Besides, she claimed that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is working to unite the people of the country for the goal of development.The public rally was presided over by Upazila BNP former acting president Habibur Rahman Babul Talukdar.
